John began his career around cars by working during his high school years at a "full service" gas station. After proudly serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy, he received two A S Degrees in Business Management and Banking & Finance, later receiving a B.A. in Public Administration with a minor degree in Finance from San Diego State University. He began his business career with Ford Motor Company as a Zone Manager. Having the ambition to be an entrepreneur, he bought his first full service car wash with gasoline, detail, and quick lube facility in 1978 in Van Nuys, CA. Later he purchased a self-serve car wash and also was a distributor for car wash equipment. During this time he served on the Board of Directors, as well as President for the California Car Wash Assn. (now the Western Assn.)
In 1989 John decided to return to his home state of Georgia where he purchased another full service car wash and served as a director and officer with the Southeastern Car Wash Assn. Subsequently, he purchased and/or built three additional in-bay automatic and self-serve car washes.
John began his relationship with CWB when they listed and sold his remaining two car washes in 2006. His 29 years experience in all phases of the car wash industry brings a new dimension to the sales team in Georgia. Hi is viewed as a "car wash consultant" by many in the industry and is anxious to offer his expertise to those interested in buying or selling a car wash.
